Bay Con: May 28th - 31st
San Jose, California

BayCon is the San Francisco Bay Area's regional science fiction and fantasy convention. This year, it's being held at the DoubleTree Hotel in San Jose.

HWA Annual Conference and Stoker Banquet: June 3rd - 6th
New York, New York

The Women of Persephone: August 27th, 7:00 P.M.
Annapolis, MD

On Friday, August 27, 2004 at 7:00 pm, the Barnes & Noble Booksellers in Annapolis, Maryland will be hosting a gathering of accomplished and exciting women horror writers from all around the United States. The Women of Persephone are novelists, poets, short story and nonfiction writers who support one another year-round and who will be meeting for their first writers retreat in Maryland. For one evening only, they will be speaking about the career of horror writing from a female perspective. An autographing session will follow. Come meet some of America's foremost scary ladies. This is a free event.

Karen will be signing copies of Blood Red Dawn. Also scheduled to appear are L.A. Banks, author of The Hunted: A Vampire Huntress Legend, and Angela C. Allen, who will be signing copies of the vampire anthology Dark Thirst.

World Fantasy Convention: October 28th - 31st
