A Glance Into the 'Real' Life of Karen E. Taylor...

When she's not haunting the dangerous and dark streets in the Vampire Legacy series, Karen lives a fairly normal and mundane life. She resides near Los Angeles (as of 12/15/03) with her husband Peter and their two sons, Brian and Geoffrey. She also shares her home with Charlie, a Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier, two cats: Essie, a calico, who has been known to put paw to keyboard on occasion and Isis, a black stray with an attitude.   (Alas, Buck the Wonder Dog died in April, 1999. We miss him still!) She also has one wicked garden.

A voracious reader of vampire/horror novels, Karen first started writing BLOOD SECRETS in January, 1988. It was never intended to be the first book of an ongoing series, but friends and neighbors who had read the original manuscript demanded a sequel.

Her office is decorated with vampire posters, enlargements of her book covers and a mandatory black rose or two kept in an empty bottle of (vintage 1980) Dom Perignon.
