Writing with a Soundtrack
Okay, I confess. I use music when I write to help me establish moods. Usually, I wear earphones and crank the volume up as high as possible to block out exterior noise. And quite often, I discover that I've been so wrapped up in the writing that I haven't heard a note. I now have a CD burner on my computer (isn't technology wonderful?!) so I often do the "soundtrack" before I've even written the book.
My musical tastes are eclectic and more than a few of the songs listed below are covers. All you need to do is identify the artists who sing the songs I've been listening to. Not an easy task. But I will reward those lucky few (three in each category) who get the most answers correct with an autographed copy of the book in question.
And I guess we need to set up a deadline. Let's say December 31, 2002.
